‘The Hare' invited ‘The Tortoise' to run a race,
‘The Tortoise' accepted being certain of the defeat,
Bravery or Stupidity?
A different name may be.
Then began the race,
‘The Hare' was too quick and flawless
Exploring his best speed.
While,
‘The Tortoise' was too slow and hesitant
Taking his time.
The race went on…..
‘The Hare's' enthusiasm died halfway.
Shades of Boredom.
While,
‘The tortoise's' intentions grew strong.
Shades of Enthusiasm.
The finish line...
The 'Courageous tortoise' crossed the line.
But how could he really be a winner,
When ‘The Hare' gave up in the middle of the race.
‘The Tortoise' was right!
He lost the race.
………
Later on ‘The Hare' too became serious about the race.
Too late for the realization.
He too lost the race.
The 'Hare' and the 'Tortoise' both lost The Race'.

A poignant rendition of words set aside for sober reflection. An insightful and descriptive verse. Thanks for sharing, Rishini.
