How beautiful is the blue water
Yet it separates families and isolates people in need
Leaving us to live in a world with haves and the have not’s
But look how beautiful the blue water is
At first glance I admire you, because you are a mystery to me
But the mystery has solved and I admire you no more
My affection has grown into distain and disproval
I disprove of your existence
Because of you my ancestors have suffered,
Because of you I live in a world that is unsafe,
Because of you the number of deaths each year increases.
And yet you have no remorse
The tears we shed only make you grow
But I have cried my last tears yesterday
For your spirit is a fugitive my soul will not harbor.
Today I take stand upright proclaiming to the world your negativity
I will remain dehydrated; never again will I thirst for the blue water
And yet my worst fear has come true
For in the distance I can hear some one admiring you
Look how beautiful the blue water is
