= Haunted Echoes Of The Sea =

Alone in fear and darkness I live -
Lost within a taunted world
of memories...
For I have loved you my whole
life through.
Now grief and loneliness -
devoures me...

A continuous pain that gnaws
so deep down inside.
Tearing away at the core of my soul.
'For you were tragically taken
by the ocean tide.'
When I came to - this I was
tearfully told...

Rushing waves crashing with such
a haunting roar....Franticaly I searched -
But, you were nowhere in sight....

Years later:

Feeling nothing but emptiess inside
such a tremendous void.
Trying to move forward -
but, nothing seems to be the same..

In the hush of the night I hear
you calling out my name.
Your voice becomes crystal clear.
Sometimes I wonder if i'm going insane.

~*~

I've finally come to realize -
as long as I have breath - never
shall I be free.
For embedded in my heart and soul -
are the 'Haunted Echoes Of The Sea.
