Have Mercy Lord Poem by Michael, Miracle Philadelphia Okorie

Have Mercy Lord

From the Garden of life and love
Hope was all there for us
Eden a kingdom, lost for lust
Gods we are made by the Greatest God

Have dominion he said to us
Rule over the earth and all the shores
Just make a wish your words are orders
Angels on guard to watch over us
Life in Eden the best ever had

Why we want to ruin all we ever gained?
For money, pleasure and fame
She entered the world and deceived all men
The world at puzzle, confused in tussle
We change direction, seeking protection
We've done away, all we knew
Changing the things so real as fake

All he gave we have strayed
Still reminiscing the old better days
Wish we always stick aback the olden ways
The World was better than this present time craze

God is just, he's kind and good
Another chance he gives from the cross
By grace we become free from the laws
Just our hearts to make us pure

Instead we ignore every rout he shows
Vindicate my soul father
For all I am; a poor guilty sinner
Let your grace supersede my trespasses
Let your grace plead my sake
Let your promises build my faith
Let your love make my days
And let thy blood wash my stains

Have mercy Lord I beg
If you don't, I'll be so cursed
For your wraths are sharper than swords
A stronger fall, than that for the cross

Only now shall I amend
The ways so bad I'm bent
Take my hand and let me stand
For in your mercy Oh Lord shall I be free from guilt
