Have You Lost Your Human Values? Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Have You Lost Your Human Values?

Hello, have you lost your human values?
Were they shoved down there on your socks
To rot as smelly forgotten refuse
Like fossil in those decayed moss-covered rocks?

Have you so lost the way, your eyes became myopic?
That wrong seems right and black is white
Sways of soul confusion that's rather tragic
Your views are sickly warped, it's just not right!

Hello, where would you attempt to grasp some balance
When those that seek your demise, you love instead
Would you give them your savings if you had the chance
Believe in pious lies from a cause chops heads?

Hello, was your mind somehow erased or just deleted
That in zombie-like trance you now profess what's gross
And mouth platitudes beyond all logic, so demented-
That it's a pity to conclude you had memory loss.
