Have you seen a man I know
His eyes so bright, like diamonds they glow
His lips as pink as blossomed roses
His smile drives insane a thousand misses
I came across this gentleman
He had a pack with bread and jam
'Do you want a piece of the snack', he asked
I didn't respond for I was lost in his eyes
Have you seen a man I know
He was heading down the cliff, below
I stared blankly as I saw him depart
Now I'm alone and it's all my fault
Have you seen a man I know
He stole my heart and hid it in his cloak
Do I really have to wait this long?
I fear I'll be gone before his return
He held my hand at night
And we danced under the moonlight
His teeth were white as milk
And his hair was smooth as silk
If you see the man I know
Tell him I'll be where the wild fruits grow
Far away in the very dark woods
Praying and hoping we'll see again soon.
