He found my bleeding heart
pumping and throbbing to its final gasp
Looked around for the owner
and none was in sight
How careless can one be,
To drop such a treasure?
He cautiously placed
the wounded dying organ in his hands
What a jewel, what a gem!
He found my heart lying on the floor
and there was none to claim it...as his own!
A beautiful train of thoughts, well articulated and nicely encapsulated into a lovely poem. The beauty of poetry is in the insight and the penning. A nice poem indeed. Thanks for sharing and do keep it up. Have a wonderful NEW YEAR. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
