He Has Given Me Today—a Sacred Offering Poem by Mohammad Younus

He Has Given Me Today—a Sacred Offering

He has given me today—
a sacred offering,
cradled in time's open palm.
Should I wake to tomorrow's light,
it too will fold into this now,
seamlessly woven
into the tapestry of forever.

He beckons me to wander
the expanse of His realm,
guided by whispers
carved into my bones
before stars learned to burn.
Unseen, His messengers draw near,
unveil the path beneath my feet,
turning my steps into echoes
of His unchanging decree.

He speaks in the language of silence,
yet I hear—
a love that thrums
through the hollows of my soul.
As on the Day of Alast,
His question lingers:
"Will you love Me still
when you depart from Me? "

I listen. I bow. I follow.
His will courses through me—
like the **hidden pulse** beneath the river,
like the breath that stirs the maple's sigh.
In every season, every act,
my deeds dissolve into His,
as seamless as a shadow
married to light.

I surrendered to Him
on the Day of Alast.
I surrender still,
in this fleeting breath
that holds the weight of forever.

And so, I am His—
His breath within the cosmic sigh,
a whisper in the wind's eternal hymn,
a single note in the symphony
of all that was,
all that is,
and all that yearns to rise.
