He Say - Poem by Yolanda Aderele

He say he likes the way I write......
The way I swing my hips from left to right
likes how I curve my y's and dot my i's
How I thread my words with truth, not lies
He likes my cocoa skin, the way I bend, my vibe!
He likes me,
...and I like him
I like how he towers above me
That all familiar spirit--engulfing
I like the look he gets when he's looking at me
Like very much especially the things I cannot see
I like him--liking me
I like him
....and he likes me
But I wanna know how he loves
If he's handling me with kid gloves
I wanna know what makes him tick
He's fast becoming a habit I just can't kick
But I like him
....and he likes me
So only time well tell and
we shall see
what will ultimately be
So until then I'll keep writing
writing out my fantasies
just between you--and me.
