He Wandered Poem by Vera Sidhwa

He Wandered

As he took his morning walk,
He heard all the people talk.
There was one in particular,
Whose tales of travel took his fancy.

He said he would not stay,
In the realms of endless fantasy,
So he took the first step of his walk.

He now walked on the sidewalk fast.
He walked faster through the woods.
He skipped in the fields of flowers.
He ran through springtime showers.

He couldn't stop,
So he scaled atop the mountain top.
From there he saw,
His trails of adventure.

He was happy.
