Head Start/Story Of My Life Poem by Desiree Whitamore

Head Start/Story Of My Life

wouldn't you like me to tell you
about the sadness i hold inside?
shed some insight to my secret world
and all i try to hide?
believe me if you saw it
you'd run away from me
you'd gape and laugh and point
i'm not what you thought i'd be
so i'm giving you a head start
i'll close my eyes and count to five.
you can run now, it's ok.
its just the story of my life.
