Headlessly Insecure Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Headlessly Insecure

If I'd wanted to love any less,
such a thing isn't conceived.
You make me feel alive.
At the door I'd wait,
with a song playing over and over.
You pull up in a green car,
music as loud as mine.
So surely you walk towards me with a smile.
I whipe the tears and run.
This is a moment,
I'll never replace.
Into you I jump.
Wrapping my legs around you,
as you spin me.
This is the love you give me.
My stomach feels weak,
my head is misplaced.
But my heart is completley there.
Beating insync with yours,
it's as if you never left.
I've forgotten why we faught,
what reasons I had to be angry.
I couldn't have been more impatient for a kiss.
So naturally, our lips touched.
your hands so softly caressing my skin.
I missed you.
