Headstrong Poem by Edwina Reizer

Headstrong

He walked down the road
and never turned around.
He just kept on going
and stood his ground.

The ground shook
underneath his feet.
But still he proceeded.
He would not accept defeat.

For if he stopped
and people asked him why?
He'd have to admit failure
and eat humble pie.
