Heal The World Poem by Jeffrey Adegor

Heal The World

Her tears was so sharp
It caught/cut my attention
Her vocals, like the harp
Stringed out my inner demon
She sat by the road
Starved of happiness
Wrinkled eyes with teary load
This kryptonite ignited my weakness

He made a smile so beautiful
I thought of dating his lips
But his countenance was sorrowful
He was wreathed in whips
Clothes so dirty, dirt became clean
Blackness was defined from head to his sole
Yet eyes shone, brighter than I've ever seen
But I could see the light fading in his soul

Show love to the length and breadth
Do not let the rendezvous be your bank account
Show love now, while you have breath
For the evil you do has an account
Do not let greed make you stealth
Mind the way you speak your words
Show love, show love before death
Show love, together let's heal the world
.
.
.
Heal the world, make it a better place
For you, for me, for the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you and for me
.
