Healed Poem by Kev Elmer

I've wrote this poem to say goodbye,
a way to say I've healed deep inside.
No pain with a tear in my eye,
I've stepped forward; ahead in life.

All the things I seen in you,
All the things you had me do.
Are all the things that hurt me most,
I now see they were to weaken me.

You left me out in this void,
but I'm now happy and over joyed.
Your mission in life has seamed to fail,
as I walk on with my head held high.

Did I learn from my mistake,
offering my heart for you to take.
Time will tell if ready again,
life will be taken a step at a time.
