Healing Touch Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

Healing Touch

Time passes by and I don’t know why
My hearts in a constant cycle
Up and down, the beat grow louder
And pain seeps in my bones
The cold grabs my wrist and I lose my breath
By the bitter words that the winds murmurs
So I take a stand and grasp my chest
My hands over my heart and I head held low
I’ll fight threw this tragedy and find what’s unknown
So I’ll take the time to wrap up my shattered soul
Place the pieces together and try to stay whole
But mean while stand by the side lines
Watch me struggle on my own
Why would you lend me a helping hand?
Can’t you see I’m doing fine falling apart alone
The cold shoulder doesn’t faze me anymore
Those deep eyes don’t bring me down either
So the rain falls to complete the scene
The misery has be fallen me
But the sun shines threw the shadows
And I can almost grasp the concept placed before me
So with the gods alter before me
And the signs placed right before me
I can place together this broken being
And make things right again
I’ll let the past fall from me
But cherish all those beautiful memories
Let the darkness fall and learn to forgive
With forgiveness comes self healing
And I’d rather not dwell on things that once were
For once they had passed they will never be recovered
Once ended for good a new cycle begins
So here comes the wave I have been looking for
Here comes the hand to hold me like before
And whip away those tears that have stained my cheeks
To bring back my smile and keep it in place
So with a new beginning I will hold my head high
I’ll fight past the ones who want me to fall
For with a reborn set of wings, I’ll soar high
And let you lift me up to touch the sky
Kiss my lips to bring back that life
The one I knew and understood so well
I’ll stop falling apart and finally heal
