Heart - Poem by Jennifer Tkacz
Sometimes you hold your heart tight,
Not because you want to but because you have to.
Broken hearts don't just go away in a day,
When the tears still come, you know your not done.
My heart is still healing from the day you said no,
You walked away and left me here with nothing.
The door is always open to call but calling as become to hard.
You broke me down and this time was suppose to be different.
Different is not what happened, you changed and became happy.
Happiness is what I wanted for you but with me.
Is that selfish?
But you didn't choose me and I should have been your number 1.
Will I always love you?
I hope one day I can say you were my first love but I am over it.
TIme will only make this broken heart heal.
