Heart Breaking Poem by Ziane Wasserman

Heart Breaking

Rating: 5.0

I gave you love, but it slipped away
Promises down the drain, with nothing to say
We're friends, and maybe someday lovers again
I'll wait for you, and only you, my heart's refrain

I'm done with love, for anyone else
My heart belongs to you, and only you, it's swell
No more games, no more lies
I'll focus on myself, and your well-being, no goodbyes

Game face on, I'll move ahead
But my heart will always worry, and focus on your thread
I still love you, even if you don't love me
Forever and always, my heart will beat for thee

I said I don't want love, but that's a lie
I only want your love, my heart's sole reply
In this world of pain, and love that's lost
My heart beats for you alone, no matter the cost.
