Heart Breaks The Hurricane Poem by Eowyn Aurora

Heart Breaks The Hurricane

Drowning in the sea of mystery
Watching you glance away without a trace
Like you're blind and just can't see
The obvious expression on my seeking face,
Your eyes trace her steps down the hall
'catch you later' then dash away
The raindrops begin to fall,
Seems like forever's a stormy day,
Waiting in the downpour all alone
Running verses through my soggy heart,
Learning now, gotta sail this on my own
Learn the waves without the chart
No one ever told me a heart could flood
Or how to stop the rain
No one ever told me rain no blood
Or how to cease the pain
When memories arise of yesterday
The moves you knew,
Music play
When memories arise then they say
Remember when love went our way?
When laughter breathed like air,
And smiles did abound,
Now I can't find it anywhere
Doesn't seem to be around
The rain pounds on, Encouraged by
The breaking dawn, I sit and cry
This heart breaks a hurricane
Across the evening sky
These tears saturate a pain
But, alas, you stay dry
The flood breaks all barriers
And yet you cannot see,
The waters rise above the earth
Rushing over me
Kneeling under pressure,
My eyes abandon cause,
My hope has been forgotten
Springs of motion lost
The rivers take the water
Wash away my fears
The clouds part, the sun peeks out
Drying these poor tears,
The evidence is solid proof
Take it what you do
The water flow is quite a sight
Proving pain quite true
Maybe one day far away
You will finally view
All the waters feel for,
A simple answer, you
