Heart Broken Poem by Tessa Marsland Pettigrove

Look at all that you put me through,
can’t you see I am true to you?
You tell me something that needs to be said,
and then ask why i got upset.
You know how much you mean to me,
but clearly I don’t mean much to you.
I try to help,
but you never talk to me.
Everything I ever loved,
Is pushing me away.
I lay with you when the stars are above,
and I hope that it will just stay that way.
You hurt me so much,
and all I want is to feel your warm touch.
I hoped that I could be,
Everything you wanted in me.
I thought you were different to most boys,
They just like to make noise.
I cannot believe what I am saying,
I feel as though I should be crying,
But the pain that lives inside of me,
I just don’t think we are meant to be.
You tore me down,
right till the ground.
Your love always hurt
but I am not the expert.
I just walk away from what we have
But I will never forget what we shared
