Heart, Mind, and Soul
The heart, mind, and soul—
forever seeking harmony.
The heart whispers to the mind:
'Let go, and surrender to love.'
The mind, unguarded, agrees.
The mind cautions the heart:
'Beware, love carries wounds.'
The heart, humbled, accepts.
Then the soul proclaims:
'Love completes us all.
Together, we must embrace it.'
The mind, once a skeptic,
now bows in reverence—
becoming nafs e mutmainah,
the tranquil, content soul:
'O serene soul!
Return to your Lord,
well-pleased and pleasing.
Enter among My servants,
and enter My Paradise.'
My heart and soul rejoice,
dancing to the divine call,
longing and striving—
to fulfill their sacred pledge:
'I yearn to hear my Lord.
I ache to heed His voice.'
