Heart's Stocker Poem by Robert L. Bixler III

Heart's Stocker

Turning the corner I see you,
Hanging with the guys I see you,
On the television I see you,
And even in my dreams I see you.

Driving in my car I hear you,
Walking under the stars at midnight I hear you,
Listening to the radio I hear you,
And even in an empty room I hear you.

Why can’t I get you out of my mind?
What is it that keeps you in my head?

Everyday I swear that just ahead of me is you,
When I look over my shoulder I see you,
At a friend’s house, sitting next to me is you,
And two-hundred miles from home I swear I see you.

You are the only person that I think aobut,
You are the only one that I h ear,
You are the only one that I hear,
You are the only one who is always with me,
You are the only one who I cannot have.
