Heart Work Vs. Hard Work Poem by Tina Rizk

Heart Work Vs. Hard Work

When we love what we do
With passion we pursue
Merrily spending our days
As kids playing on Sundays
Joyfully striving to ameliorate
Sacrifices we tolerate
We never stop learning new skills
Climbing the slope uphill.

But, if we work out of duty
Merely to earn a living
We may put in the effort
But feel as a robot
We may have determination
But lack the flame of passion
When our schedule ends
We breathe relief and leave content.

Listen to your heart
Let your soul guide you
To choose what you love
It knows the path of your fate
Let your destiny and fate be comrades
Your soul knows what makes you glow
Nothing outweighs the joy
Of living a life loving what you do.
