Heartaches (A Song) Poem by Bill Simmons

Heartaches (A Song)

Rating: 5.0

I've had my share of heartaches
But who kept score
I've had my share of laying awake
And walking each night those floors

I've had my share of heartaches
The tears that would fall till daybreak
The loneliness that would come my way
I've had my share of heartaches

I know all about being alone
Lonely it followed me home
And I know all about can’t live without
Lonesome it was my own

Each day I would wake up and say
No heartbreaks today
But hurt when it’s found it doesn't let down
And the heartaches find their way

I've had my share of heartaches
But who kept score
I've had my share of laying awake
And walking each night those floors

I've had my share of the tears that would fall
The whispers of the heart would call
Being in love the heart not giving up
Like nothing else matters at all

I've had my share of laying awake
And walking each night those floors
I've had my share of heartaches
But who kept score.
