Heartbroken Poem by Connie Leigh Lindsay

she cries herself to sleep.
her heart is yet again broken.
this time so is her spirit and will to live.
how dare he ask this of her!

he is having her make a hard choice.
the only thing that is making her go on is her little boys.
how can she choose? either choice and she is still heartbroken.
she never asked for this.she just wants to quit everything but she cant.

who will take care of her little boys?
she wakes up but still feels dead inside.
how will she ever get over this?
how can she? does she even want to?

doesn't he know that by making her do this, she will resent him?
why cant he see that he is pushing them apart!
she gets up and goes about her day.
another day, same things.its all a blur to her anymore.

she has given up.there isn't much to live for except her little boys.
