Heartbroken Poem by Roland Houston

Heartbroken

I gave you my heart, my soul, my love,
then you go and throw it all away.
My heart is broken, shattered, and torn,
I am in disrepair, cannot be fixed, sore once more,
I thought you were the one to help me through,
guess I was wrong, and now I'm blue.
I cry tears of pain, suffering, and hurt,
no longer are they joyous, full of fear.
Used, lost, lied to is what I feel,
why did you do this to me,
my beautiful blood queen?
I don't understand, after all we've done,
you've hurt me badly, now I'm on the run.
I hope your happy, what you've done to me,
I am heartbroken, it's plain to see,
never again will I find happiness,
forever I will flee...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this because of how heartbroken I was by a girl that I thought was the one, even though it's happened, I still hurt bad.
