Heartfelt Questions Poem by isaac taiwo afuye

Heartfelt Questions

one thing i know...
is that every body has something to do
where he or she finds himself or herself.
just help me to consider this for a moment.
what are you doing where you are?

we all stand on the wall
beholding all the happenings in the valley.
i see people reign as kings,
and the so called failures rot away in rags.

war mongers and valours reign and dominate,
the truthful are being lead away into captivity
and never to return.
skipping over barricades and walls,
i see that what is not ment to be...
has come to be,
the truth no more stand...
for truth has fallen headlong.

my question is...
is truth forever gone?
is integrity forever lost?
has dignity evade the mind? .

my own stand i know...
none can stand against the truth....
but only for the truth.
neither earn integrity until it is given
nor dignity until worked for
then what is there to air?

may my questions be written forever...
cause forever takes the chance.
