Hearts Apart Poem by Daniel Wittfoth

Hearts Apart

Rating: 5.0

Rain falls
a single leaf
floats down from a willow tree

Watch the sky
like my heart
turn angry and gray

Every emotion born within
tired-cold as ice
Sadness swelled until I cried
always believed that you'd be mine

But here we are
hearts apart
Lonely and torn
Hearts apart...
