Hearts Touch In Friendship Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Hearts Touch In Friendship

Rating: 5.0

This morning brought a blessing
Unexpected was it's grace
That I first felt in my heart
and which radiated to my face

Felt like a warm caress
Whose feeling I could not erase
From the warm heart of a kind friend
who touched me from a distant place

Sometimes when we are down
and lost and out of place
We reach out in darkness
Though our sadness we can't face

And unexpectedly someone takes our hand
They lend their heart and soul
and try to shield us and understand
Today I was reminded that I have a friend

And just when I was feeling discarded
Forgotten by some or many
I'm reminded that good hearts still exist
True care doesn't cost a penny

Thank you for your kindness and your time
I felt your warm heartbeat with mine
For the part of us that we lend
We have found in each, a friend
