Heatwave Poem by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Heatwave

Cool cats nap in shade
Sweltering blooms, colors smile,
lost in sun's embrace
Pink butterflies carry on
as redbirds play in sprinklers

Lush evergreens gleam,
nearby the stylish people
Many hued Monday
Mauve dragonflies by the lake
Sassy summer's still the same
