Heatwave Poem by Glenda PalmerVibert

Heatwave

Long shimmering days
Somnambulant meanderings
Through the haze of a
June afternoon
Heat muted thwack of
Ball against willow
Vaguely invades the consciousness
Like the bee half-heartedly
Buzzing out a summer greeting.
