Here lie on the empty and desolate road of unhappiness,
I fooled the world with my pleasant smile,
I fooled the world with the joyous rain of laughter,
Here I lie, alone and abandoned with nothing to hope for.
Deadened of all senses, I need a penny to be thrown my way.
So I can make a wish.
There is nothing more to dream of when you are lying, arms open, stretching upwards to the sky.
Waiting desperately, for something to happen, a miracle of all miracles,
to be cured of disease,
But here I lie on the road to heaven, looking now like a picture of hell.
Yet I will go my way and dream, actually dream, of a day well spent and night of rest.
I will dream of heaven.

Beautiful piece...In life's road of unhappiness, there's hope... a dream of bliss, a light in the darkness where we could attain peace. Soothes the soul.
