Heaven Is Waiting Poem by Abel Motha

Heaven Is Waiting

You might think of yourself as unworthy.
You might see yourself as not good enough.
You might judge yourself harshly.

Thinking that there’s no one for you,
Thinking that you are dirty,
Thinking that God does not love you.
Well let me assure you heaven is waiting,
Waiting for your call.

You might see other people succeed.
You might wonder why you do not prosper.
You might be crying every night.

Wetting your pillows with a flood of tears,
And you have to smile in front of people.
Yet when you are alone you cry and complain.
Well let me assure you heaven is waiting,
Waiting for your call.

You might have nothing to eat,
And even nothing to wear.
You might be comparing yourself to others.
You might think God has deserted you.
You might think your prayers bounce off the roof.
You might see yourself as useless.
Well let me assure you heaven is waiting,
Waiting for your call.

You might have no one to talk to.
You might have people walk out on you.
You might have family conflict.
You might have powerful enemies.
Well let me assure you heaven is waiting,
Waiting for your call.
