Heaven On Earth Poem by Ryan Lee Morris

Heaven On Earth

Rating: 5.0

I live in a cell,
My soul i did sell,
My addiction, my heaven,
My heaven's my hell.
My heart is on fire.
My brain's been rewired.
Snowy white death.
Is my burning desire.
Fill my spirit with spirits.
The truth watered down.
My spirit is screaming
Yet I don't make a sound.
Moral compass ignored.
I'm losing my way.
I have nothing to hear,
But too much to say.
I'm getting older,
My heart turning colder.
Fighting a battle through life,
Like an unknown soldier.
My army of darkness,
Is ready to fight,
To finally extinguish
The last of my light.
My burden is heavy,
My lies have much weight,
A bottle and powder,
Determine my fate.
Cut up and disfigured,
I fall to the floor,
The white flag, it rises,
I can't fight anymore.
My eyes slowly closing,
I take my last breath.
I've cashed in my life.
To trade it for death.
My life was my treasure.
But i gave it no worth.
My hell was my heaven.
My heaven on earth.
