Heaven’s Dark Angel Poem by Allyson Gordon

Heaven’s Dark Angel

Look at who I am,
Look what I’ve become
The dark angel of death
This war I’ve not won

Shattered in pieces
All over the floor
How could I have made this mess?
What am I even living for?

I’m held in life’s grasp
Yet answering death’s call
I am drawn to the dark
And I begin to fall

I’m now in death’s hands
Knocking on heaven’s door
As the pearly gates open
The pain and sorrow is no more
