Heavenly Departure Poem by Wendy Bureau

Heavenly Departure

Rating: 3.2

Unconscious, comatose, in a dream like trance
My once unscathed imagination, enhanced
A celestial being of unproportional length
Subdued my mind with a bionic strength

Completely empowered, without trepidation
I rendered myself to this unworldly formation
Statuesque and beautiful unlike anything I've known
With magnificent movement, she adorned her throne

She spoke to me with a subliminal converse
Explaining I was blind, naive to the curse
She transmigrated these words with such ease
Accept this fate, your soul now free from disease

Amalgamate, come join my angelic form
Where life here on earth ends, but in Heaven, reborn
Without speech I accepted, my spirit re-birthed
Bodily form back to ashes, received by the earth
