This is the road to heaven,
clear and wide
with rows of shady Peepals
and flowering Gulmohars
on both sides.
The playful breeze is dancing
to its own soulful tunes,
sweeping the trees away
off their feet sometimes.
Fresh flowers and blistered leaves
are strewn all over in no time,
bejeweled with glistening morning dew.
Here dawns the Sun, quite late,
still sleepy dreamy-eyed,
staggering from the hangover
of the last moonlit night.
Soon his golden chariot
careens on its way,
in the ethereal blue.
So do the ephemeral clouds,
sailing, gliding happily on their wings.
This is the way nature rejoices
with picturesque beauty manifold.
The imprints it leaves behind
are for us to lo and behold.
