The Oblivion Poem by Richa Sharma

The Oblivion

A pane has shattered nearby
very near, it seems.
Somewhere inside.
Maybe.

A feeling of alleviation is creeping in.
Maybe the pain is sinking in deep.
Or is it the life...
slipping away from the crutches of breath?
Maybe.

A string has snapped.
Within.
Yes, within.

The tension has swept away,
leaving behind a soft silence,
swaying loose, untethered.

From nowhere,
a vacuum is oozing inside,
flooding into
a vortex of nothingness.
