Heavens Rays Poem by Victoria Gauci

I needed special consideration,
From the Lord and his congregation,
To ease my pain and help me deal,
With all the different emotions I'd feel,
Special gifts to make things clear,
To help me choose which path to steer,
Time alone with my dear Dad,
Time I wouldn't of otherwise had,
Of talks so tender, words to share,
My heart needed them so I could bear,
A loss so deep and overwhelming,
Too many people and no one could tell me,
I miss him so...I need him here,
To hug him, kiss him, hold him near,
I'll take each day one at a time,
I know his love is forever mine,
It's not easy to accept,
The path that goes from life to death,
In my heart my Daddy stays,
To shine on me like Heaven's rays.
