Heavy Chest Poem by Jen Green

Heavy Chest

Rating: 4.0

I’d rather have a breaking heart through love,
then a breaking heart from loneliness.

I have made many mistakes in the past & without doubt,
know that I will make many more in the future.

Never trusting anyone but wanting everyone to trust in me.

Lying & betraying friendships,
Whilst judging everyone else’s.

I need a change of scenery,
I need to see a change in me.

Peace is right,
Power is wrong.

The human race is trapped in a vicious but beautiful cycle,
Every one of us just trying to belong.

Pointless living,
Pointless dying.

We all just exist.
