If we have to say good-bye will it be
With everyone we meet or is it

Like a counter; keeping score
And eventually, after enough times,
It just stops? What's the point of
Saying hello or even staying longer

Is it really important or crucial if in
The end you were just meant to
Say good-bye? Good-byes are just
Another way for life to hurt you to

Try and destroy you,
Just to see if you
Could handle yet another
