Help Her Poem by Carolyn Brunelle

Help Her

Recaptured from long ago
hold her close and don't let go
feel her heart beat steady as a rock
time passes as mere tic of a clock.
Hold and love her as you would a child
find her hiding and play for awhile,
bring her treats and listen to her glee
teach her to all you know she can be.
The child in us all wounded and fearing
healing can be just in the hearing
of all she has to say.
Just be there for her in whatever way;
she has the power to lead YOU one day.
