Help Them God Poem by Desy Newbill

Help Them God

Help them God
There is so much hurt in their eyes
Every last one of them

I see them scream, and cry inside
There is nothing I can do for them
No effort could be great enough

Not without your touch
I would only bring myself down trying
They need you, Christ

Even more than the air we breathe
Could you wrap your arms around them
The way you've done for me

Even if it's just a moment
Give them a glimpse of hope
Show them there IS a better way

Save them God, my family
How long will I look into these sad eyes
How long until someone dies

These souls are lost at sea
Will they get a second chance
Their choices are poison in their veins

Cleanse them with your rain
Give them peace
Give them purpose

Please, set them free
