Henry Townshend Poem by Justin Gildow

Henry Townshend

Henry Townshend
In me you'll always have a friend

I know these days for you
It seems that desparity reigns supreme
With a sadness echoing in the world you're living in right now
You're just waiting for the next positive thing to come around

Well, Henry
You don't have to hide anything from me
I know everything in my heart inside
Everything that I can see

And Henry
As we play a game or two of blackjack
And take a few sips of gatorade
We talk about good times
As the years keep passing by

Henry, I hope happiness for you will someday abound
Whether by sight or sound
Or whatever that happens here in this town

The pictures on the wall
The pictures that you've taken, Henry
They all seem to relate to me a story
A story that delivers with the glory
Right into my heart and mind
As something or somethings I can imagine in the purest kind

Thank you Henry
For believing in me
As I believe in you
Where we go from here
Where time goes
We'll never know
