Her Harsh Reality Poem by Allyson Gordon

Her Harsh Reality

Can you see her?
Sitting in the dark room
Her tears and blood flow
All she knows is gloom

Her life is filled
With pain and anguish
To fade away in the night
Is her only wish

She wanders the dark streets
Trying to find her way home
But home is nowhere
So she continues to roam…

In the raven black night
All is still and silent
If only life were this peaceful
But everything she knows is violent

Her harsh reality
Marked deep in her skin
Nothing is right
In this hell she’s in

There is no joy
There is only despair
Her empty heart
Begins to tear

The fire in her eyes
Burnt into her soul
While the poison in her heart
formed a fatal hole

she’s falling apart now
can’t you hear her screams?
Her life now lost
She only remains in your dreams
