Her Heart Like Ancient Ruins Poem by Nicholas Spandrel

Her Heart Like Ancient Ruins

her heart is dark and at dismay
Like ancient ruins in decay
Perhaps I may join the fray
Perhaps it can be remade
Like marble and stone carved chipped away
Hiding the beauty hidden away
My love and care are my hammer and chisel
As I work Maybe I can whistle
As I chisel away the pain, the things that make you go insane
I will never be afraid, I will wipe all your tears away
My masterpiece you'll be, soon you'll see
The beauty within, the beauty I see
Instead of being like dust in the wind
Our love won't falter, it will not end
Your heart shall be like diamond within
When I am there it will not bend
