With Kamsa's cruelty- darker grows her night
with the murder of every child, she shivers with fright
her living rather shadows her innocence
since she'll give birth to his death with sense
so he jails her, also jails her husband
and like a stormy cloud he turns the darkest on land
her every child, only a plaything for him
to dash against the wall- to sport his whim
she sobs and shies, and with her hubby she cries
still like a phoenix she helps herself rise
she is a mother, so she can better endure
the agony and pain, his inhuman torture
'wait till you become the mother of eight'-
words ever ring in her mind to console her right
and ever serves her a beacon- the last light
so she waits in anticipation despite her plight
year after year she waits for long ten years
until Krishna kills his cruel uncle, her hope clears.
