I Will Wait Poem by Prafulla Kumar Panda

I Will Wait

Though moments here melt like ice
but I can't sacrifice
and forget the time
I spent
since my love's got it to chime

and unto you it doth hold
making me stout and forever bold
instilling in me all patience
to wait
sipping love's invaluable essence

the promise you made
was enough to make me glad
so I swam in the ocean of your eyes
to count
every tide of your passion there did rise

you're enough to burn me in your fire
since you drove me like an enchanter
I fell a victim to your magical fingers
to feel
the sizzling cauldron of your manly desires

and before your departure
your shower of promises I still remember
but years have passed since you left
how many
days and nights still I have to wait

here the wind has stopped to chime
and the moon sobs and doesn't rhyme
and the sun has lost all its charm
and the nightingale
too weeps with me until the morn

still, I will wait for your return
until there is tide in the ocean
until the moon shines in the heaven
and like a moth
I love to burn in your fiery passion, again and again

since you're forever mine
and me hath born only for thine.
