Her Without Him Poem by Alyssa Lippi

Her Without Him

Rating: 5.0

Endless days
Without him, without love, without breath
A dead look masks the once happy face
Eyes an empty void
they lead to the cold crystal
her heart has become
Tempted to shatter
at any moment
for any reason
A jolt forced from a charred memory
Crashes her frame, , now fragile
Her world tumbles around her feet

And yet she stands

The pressure builds

And yet she stands

Broken glass reflects the empty face
And she realizes

That she Must stand
