What brought you here
To my heart

On this day
Under this moon

These stars
The palm trees sway

In the cool summer wind
On the night when

I can not touch
You with my hands

So I touch you with my soul
What time is this

In my life of wondering
Irony plays the violin

As Whitman glances through
The doorway

What force works now
Few words

Light becomes you
August moon

Fall is near
Vision brings me

Back to New England
Leaves will fall

And clouds appear
Music is close now

What brought the concerto
Vivaldi in summer

Oliver at dawn
A movement from here

And you feel me
My body longs to know

Why we are so far apart
Tonight…

When one dance
Could answer

What brought you here
To my life
